Archimedes eyes opened wide as the hall was consumed in darkness, and with the last light of being flushed out one could see a smile crawl onto his face. This was the kind of stuff he lived for.
When everything came to he was inside with Battler and the rest of the family where Leo's own self piece made his first appearance before everyone in the dining hall. His actions were of course curious given the situation. Apparently there was a person in this room that explained to him why he should have appeared at all in the first place. The person X...
Archimedes looked at the glasses of water on a tray he still had in his hand and quickly placed them on a nearby stand and then came to wonder if maybe it was Archimedes himself they were talking about, he was the only one after all that had "masked" his presence from others by "hiding" outside the door and eavesdropping in the beginning. He, the furniture unfit to bear the one winged eagle's crest...was he being branded as a traitor? But what if it wasn't? Then he'd just look like a fool trying to ask for attention. In the end Archimedes would merely stay where he was, not quite ready to start investigating until he understood exactly what context of situation he was in.

"That is correct in both instances. Don't brand me as rude but I won't go through the process of asking for your names as I heard on the way over and remember from class..."
It was at that point that a car made its slow approach to the curb closest to them and indicated for Archimedes to climb in.
"It seems fate has provided me with accommodation after all...Farewell."
Casually, Archimedes would nod at the two of them and then climb into the car so as to make its departure and venture to where ever it was Archimedes was to be staying in this kakera.

Archimedes watched with a blank face as Shiki and Sibella almost got into another fight only to be stopped by the Siesta known as Bethany. Shiki continually came off as arrogant and prone to battle to Archimedes, which made him want to fight Shiki more and more, but at the same time, Archimedes skill layed with tactics and quick thinking not the kind of agility and strength he displayed at the fights today.
He would begin to take his leave from the place until he made it to the group of Sibella and Bethany, a bit curious on the data of the world he lived in he would quietly intrude.
"Excuse me, but...what year is it? And what is this town called?"

Archimedes looked up to his opponent, his face scrunched together with anger from having lost to which Archimedes would blankly reply
"You fought well, but do you mind if I keep this pistol? You seem far more advanced with the halberd, and I am without a weapon."
The boy seemed flustered about the idea but knowing the means of how he had got such a pistol, he realized it was probably best to ditch such hot evidence anyway. As Archimedes turned to leave he would add in
"I am glad you came at me the way you did...Now I'll have an eye for all the tricks a witch is capable of."
It wouldn't be until Archimedes left that it registered in the boy's head that he had insulted him.
Standing outside the school Archimedes wondered what to do next, this was supposed to be the part where he went home, but where was home? He had only just awoken to find that he was going this school. Slowly he pieced together a game plan...

Moving from the guest room to the kitchen, Archimedes remarked on how surprisingly empty the facility was. No doubt the other servants were either with the other masters or out looking for this mysterious Battler jr--Which gave him free reign to the kitchen.
um...What is it kids like to drink again?
Archimedes was suddenly at a loss, unlike the older masters who just wanted whatever kind of alcoholic substance was in the fridge these were children that he was serving (aside from Miko). He couldn't make them anything too childish like hot chocolate to save from embarrassing or belittling them and he couldn't get anything to advanced like wine because of their age..what to do!?
Water. He poured glasses and glasses of water, it really was the perfect drink for all ages as unlike the other drinks it was completely indiscriminate to its tasters.
Walking back to the guest room he took a bit of an extra long time in his stride, wondering if some kind of witchcraft really was happening here, and if he could see some kind of miracle for his own eyes, after all it was why he believed in Iblis. His stride would almost come to a dead halt as he moved by the dining hall where Battler, Krauss and the others had been relocated in, trying to catch any detail he could but yet keep moving so he could play the "just walking by servant act" if he got caught.

(For now, yes)
Hearing orders Archimedes would step into the hall where the speculative conversation expanded into furious rantings. This was his first year here and he was still a little shaky on everyone's names so he would mostly follow behind Adam to ensure that the orders would be fulfilled and stay out of the way, trying to put faces to names as he did so.
Now relocated to the guest room Archimedes stood offered quietly once everyone was situated
"Pardon the intrusion but would either of you like anything to snack on? Or drink?"
Though in reality his mind was swamped with thoughts over what had happened in the room over, with the gold and that strange boy who read off a letter to the guests, he still had to remember his place as furniture here, especially because of how inexperienced he was.

A cocky smile on his face the boy gazed to Archimedes with the intent to get combat started, barely even giving a bow before Dlanor and Will gave approval of the fight he dashed forward with his halberd armed only in his left hand. Archimedes just watched his movements as this fight became nothing more then live chess to him--the way he was holding the halberd...It was suggesting that Archimedes would be cut if he tried to dodge to the left and yet if he dodged to the right he would be fine...almost too fine.
It was only when Archimedes made a twitch to move that he saw what was happening, the reason he hadn't been carrying the halberd in his other hand was because in the man's right pocket...there was a concealed dueling rifile, when Archimedes would dodge to the right all this boy would have to do was pull it out and point at Archimedes head. It was at this point he realized an even higher level of importance when it came to fights like this and witches. For this was definitely the kind of trick a desperate witch would use to attempt at surviving, such a thing as honor is removed from their vocabulary when it all boils down to it...Right?
So he moved to the left despite how the boy had set it up and then as he went to slash, Archimedes slammed the shaft of the halberd down with his foot and then leapt forward at him, his body looming right before him, Archimedes placed a hand on the gun and then quickly forced the bullet chamber to open and scoop it up with his hand, reload, and point it at his head.
"Checkmate."

With the letter tucked away in his drawer, Archimedes returned to his duties as furniture so as to continue the guise, slipping in quietly to the room with the most commotion, he was unable to catch what the letter had said but merely leaned against the wall to quietly observe.

Archimedes crossed his arms and observed as all the fights around him unfolded. Taking note on how easy it would be for any of these people to get carried away in their conflict and kill the other opponent, as well as noting the prowess of the individual students, Shiki seemed to stand out the most once again proving that he had the bite to back up his bark but Sibella was even stronger having one her first fight with just a few moves.
With Richard and Bethany beginning their fights as well, Archimedes had a pretty basic idea on how these fights worked and would decide to gauge his skill in this fragment off of a fledgling like himself before trying his luck at one of the bigger dogs. He chose another boy roughly his age armed with a halberd and frightening personality to match.
"Do you approve of this, Dlanor-sensei? Will-sensei?"

As the arena unfolded before Archimedes, he could only look in wonder of the person known as Dlanor, who had been able to use this form of magic to get them all there, yet still hunt witches...It was the unfortunate logic hole that Archimedes probably wouldn't understand until he was thrust into the situation himself. However he was not so quiet as to not ask the question that was burning away at his mind, as he was sure plenty of the other students were wondering the same thing.
"Explain this fighting system to us Dlanor-sensei, If we are learning to hunt witches then it would be important to devise holes that destroy their illusions correct? What does fighting have to do with that?"

His head turned to view the boy yelling back at him, this one had proven early on that he was a loud-mouth, but unlike most dogs at least what he said was logical. He was absolutely correct in his concern of not knowing the name of a person he was supposed to be working with and it had been an idea that Archimedes hadn't thought of himself. Shiki must have already been well on his way to becoming the next Wright, perhaps Archimedes would learn here how to think from all angles like Shiki could.
After a sigh, he looked forward to the front and spoke in a tone that was proper for conversation but not for announcing:
"My name is Archimedes...And that's all I remember. I'll become a witch hunter because fate has put me here. That's all."

Upon seeing Bernkastel, Iblis merely grimaced with hatred, of course she couldn't see him, she had rejected his existence long ago. The only way for her to see Iblis in this new position of power, would be to beat her at her own game. He then disappeared into a cloud of butterflies and appeared in the game world before Archimedes as he worked
"Begin the first precautionary measure..."
Archimedes nodded though he couldn't respond given where he was, which was all Iblis wanted before he returned back to the meta world. Bernkastel's new piece was the child of Dlanor, even younger then the original yet just as heartless. Which was why it seemed so wrong of Leo to give such a piece Detective's Authority. His voice cut through his pre-designated silence like a hot knife through butter (something he couldn't have done before due to Bernkastel being there)
"Are you sure its wise to give this girl detective's authority Ushiromiya Leo? I assume you've read the Dawn of the Golden Witch, and remember what happened to Battler-san when he made such a prideful mistake. These demons seek to tear you apart and will stoop to any level to do it...Is your detective good enough to take on such a risk?"
Though he was talking to Leo, the whole of the words were really directed to claire--sitting in his chair with his hands folded below his chin his stare reached right back at the cat like eyes of the Knox detective.
--
After hearing the message from Archimedes as he was busy gathering materials for the meals to be prepared at Rokkenjima, he increased his work output 10 fold so he could leave early and retreat to his room for a moment, he needed to write an important letter...a letter of his resignation.

Archimedes could only watch in wonder as the characters that would seen introduce themselves to being Archimedes new teacher file in one at a time. Of course Archimedes had heard these names before but never had he been able to put a face to such names. Willard Wright held a very wise and piercing expression standing before the class, but yet at the same time, there was a level of humanity in him that one did not see from Dlanor, who's lemon shaded eyes could peer into the vast darkness of any abyss and come out the other side perfectly fine. And Lion, whom introduced her-him- themself to the class as Will's partner only made the scene that much more interesting. Did Will use this creature to get things out of cases that he normally couldn't? Were they truly a witch hunting duet? This kind of originality and variety was far different from his life back at the mansion.
Then the conversation turned away from themselves and onto the students, each one taking the opportunity to introduce themselves to these highly respected figures, with all the energy they seemed to bring in to the classroom, Archimedes wondered if he could just shrink in his chair and disappear, he who wasn't supposed to fear anything feared the idea of introducing himself to the class, especially to these people who, by Dlanor's gaze probably just looked like grunts that would be killed off in the first examination. Archimedes didn't have many likes, dislikes or special talents like that, and barely any weapon training aside from the one time he got to go shooting with the master, when he had gotten particularly saddened one day. Everything was far more confusing when his memory was so mixed up.
But those eyes of Dlanor's...They were just like the ones Archimedes had, stoic and piercing as he stared into the nothingness in the classroom, he would be reminded of the things he had seen and done and remember that he was not like these other humans (or siestas) fate had brought him here, and it was Archimedes' duty to learn and adapt for his master.
